Eddy Hernandez

Software Engineer
San Francisco, CA

Professional Summary

Over the last 15 years, I’ve led projects across enterprise-sized organizations to small startups, adapting to the challenges and opportunities all along the way. Most recently, I led front-end engineering work to deliver a brand new cyber security product as part of Microsoft’s acquisition of RiskIQ. At GoFundMe, I co-lead a cross-team effort to migrate our PHP-based applications to React (Next.js) to improve our ability to integrate with the Heart Design System and ultimately deliver better customer experiences. At Uber, I built platform tooling for Identity & Access Management fundamentals and led sessions for Engineering Security fundamentals as part of new-hire required training. As the 2nd hire at ScaleFT, a security startup later acquired by Okta, I built out and improved every layer of our customer experience. Lastly, while at Rackspace, I helped build a design system and UI platform that enabled product managers, designers, and developers to efficiently and effectively ship features to our customers at scale.

Skills include but are not limited to Software Development, Design Systems, User Interface Design, Frontend Engineering, Javascript/Typescript, React, GraphQL, CI/CD, Infrastructure As Code, Technical Documentation, Docker, and Server Administration.
